Bandipur Hiking Hiking to Bandipur, an ancient Newari village, this is a fascinating hill town lies on a hillside that offers a stunning views of the central Himalayas and the Marshyandgi valley. Bandipur hiking provides an opportunity to explore the ancient Newari culture, Magar villages, Shidha cave and the massif Annapurna rages with Dhaulagiri. This beautiful village is located somewhat mid-way between Kathmandu and Pokhara and only eight Kilometers above the Prithivi Highway, It is the ideal spot for travelers to take a lunch- break, stretch the body or simply gaze at the enchanting mountain views. Untouched by modernization, and laced with an abundance of ancient houses, temples of great significance, and historical architecture, this medieval-era town boasts festivals all year around, besides plethora of cultural offerings. Neighboring Magar, Gurung, Braman, Chhetri, Damai and Sarki villages all contribute to the cultural diversity of the region. The hilltop town not only overlooks the incredible expanse of the Marsyanngdi river valley, but also offers a breathtaking sweep of the Himalayan range, from Langtang in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west. From nearby hilltops, one can see as far as Manakamana and Gorkha to east the great Chitwan plains to the south, among others, this is ideal place for two, three day hiking in the surrounding hills.

Bandipur Hiking – itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (TIA). One of our tour leaders will greets you and transfer to hotel. We will explain briefly the program upon arrival. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 03: After breakfast taking a Drive from Kathmandu to Bandipur by bus or by private car. It will take about 3.5 hour drive, following the old trail of Bandipur and take a Sightseeing tour of old villages. Overnight in Bandipur at a lodge.  

Day 04: Hiking up to Magar village Ramkot or hiking to Mukhundeswari. In the evening nature walk in Raniban. Overnight in Bandipur at a lodge.

Day 05: Explore Siddha Cave, recently discovered and probably the biggest cave in the Asia. Overnight in Bandipur at a lodge.

Day 06: After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu, Free in afternoon, shopping or rest day, Evening join Nepali cultural dinner show. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Departure for next tours in Nepal or to your home.
