Chisapani Nagarkot trek Chisapani Nagarkot trek is less crowded trekking destination around the Kathmandu valley. Yet it offers a rich insight in to the lives, history, culture and religion together with the picturesque daily toil in the fields of its inhabitant. The valley rim lies between 1800m and 2800m and in spring offers early flowering rhododendrons. In autumn and winter there are wonderful mountains vistas, which can, form certain viewpoints, stretch from Everest in the east to Annapurna in the west. When the trek reaches Nagarkot it offers spectacular Mountain View as well as a panoramic view of Kathmandu valley. Nagarkot is one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.

This trek can be combined with the 2 night 3 days Chitwan Jungle Safari where you will track the rare Royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceroses, slot bear, crocodile and many other species of birds and animals, which will enchant as you explore this pristine Jungle area.

Depending on your time frame this trek can be extended to Namobuddha, Panuti or even Balthali.

Chisapani Nagarkot trek – itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu:
One of our trek leaders from our company Alpine Eco Trek will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to hotel and help you check into your designated hotel. We will take you in our office for a meeting to brief you about your daily activities etc.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu:
Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple). Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and trek to Chisopani: After breakfast, a short drive to Sundarijal. From here the trek starts, the trail climbs steeply past Tamang villages and on through rhododendron forest to Chisopani. Excellent views over the whole Himalayan range from Manaslu, Ganesh Himal to Everest. Mid hill mountains and valley of Helambu in a clear day! Overnight at guest house.

04: Trek from Chisopani to Nagarkot:
Today we hike about 6 - 7 hours. Walk between the village and forest of Shivapuri, continue our journey to Nagarkot 2775m above the sea- level. This spot provides an excellent view of the sunset; sunrise and Mount Everest can be seen on a clear day including other 12 peaks. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Trek from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel:
We will awake early to watch the spectacular dawn. The first rays of the sun firing the peaks a lightest red slowly lighting up the Himalayas from Everest range in the Far East of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the West. After breakfast, 6 hours trek down to Dhulikhel village. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Drive from Dhulikhel to Bhaktapur then Kathmandu:
After breakfast we will drive back to Bhaktapur Durbar Square (world heritage site), do some sightseeing and have a delicious lunch and back to Kathmandu. In the evening join a fare well dinner with live culture show. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Transfer to the airport:
We will drop you to the airport in time for your flight back home. We ensure that you leave Kathmandu with cherishing memory and an experience of a lifetime. Namaste!
