Panchase Danda Trek Panchase Danda trek is a comfortable and short camping trek in Annapurna region and this area is less frequented by tourist. There are no teahouses on the trail. Pass through the dense forests on the first 3 days and come across villages in the last 2 days. Rhododendron forests are in full bloom in the spring. See tremendous panoramic view of Annapurna and Machapuchare (also known as Fishtail Mountain) throughout the Panchase Danda Trek.

Walk through excellent trail that makes a complete circuit of Phewa-tal (lake) watershed located west of Pokhara. Camps are set up in grassy pasture and rhododendron forest. There is great view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya range as we travel to Naudanda. The gradual uphill walk to Panchase danda (2509m) provides beautiful view of Machapuchare and Pokhara valley from the high meadow near the ridge. Panchase Danda trek is one of our short and popular treks which also possible to starts and ends in Pokhara.

Panchase Danda Trek – itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu airport
Upon your arrival meet one of our trek leaders, reception and transferred to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Drive or flight to Pokhara.
If we fly, we will have half day sightseeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Patale Kharka
Drive to the trail head near Bhumdi School on Sidhartha highway. The trail is steep through the Gurung villages of Kalabang and Bhumdi. Pass through the thick rhododendron forest and Bhumdi Deorali. The first night camp will be at Patale Kharka (1768m).

Day 4: Panchese Deorali
Walk further up to Panchase Deorali. It has nice camping place. It is also a junction of the track from Syangja, Parbat and Kaski districts. There is good view to the north.

Day 5: Bhaudare Deorali
After breakfast climb to the summit to see panoramic view of Himalayan on the north and the surrounding area. Return back to Panchase Deorali. Follow the trail that leads north. Descend to Bhaudare Deorali (1646m) on the old highway to Baglung from Pokhara.

Day 6: Naundanda (1458m)
The trail ascends towards a ridge on the north. The entire of view of Phewa Lake, Annapurna and Manaslu Himal dominate the journey through thick rhododendron forests. The trail is pleasant. It gradually descends to Naundanda (1458m).

Day 7: Pokhara
Walk on the ridge to Sarankot and descend to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Drive back to Kathmandu.
In the evening, join a fare well dinner offered by Alpine Eco Trek. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 9: Final transfer to airport for flight back to home.
