10 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Overview

10 days Annapurna circuit trek is a perfect choice for you if you have limited time and are eager to explore some of the striking Mountains of Nepal. The trek is filled with the splendid Himalayan panorama of the Annapurna massif including Mount Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Fishtail, Nilgiri, Hinchui and several other mountains of Nepal and gives you an opportunity to experience the lifestyle of the locals of the central Himalayan region.

We start the adventure journey amongst the greenery of Besisahar where we slowly move towards Chame. While you are on the road, you will come across very fine villages that are home to a wide diversity of inhabitants. All of whom come from varied ethnic groups but live together as a family.

On our way, we will be offered marvelous views of the Himalayas. As the trek continues, towards the north of the main Himalayan range onto the high and arid Tibetan Plateau, the mountains become more stunning and gorgeous.

After 2 days of trekking on stony roads crossing several villages, we finally reach the highlight of our trip, the alpine village called Manang. Manang is where we relax for two days to acclimatize our bodies. Surrounded by the massive Himalayan giants, Manang delivers some of the best hiking points at your foot, to enjoy the views of Annapurna massif.

We further trek for another 3 days which will take us over the Thorang La pass 5416m, to the divine and holy temple of Muktinath. Regarded as one of the most spiritual Hindu temples, Muktinath Temple is one of the most phenomenal features of this trek. The eye-appealing view of the White Mountains is beyond one’s imagination of a blissful and tranquil experience.

Jomsom (the district headquarters of the Mustang region), is a small beautiful town where our trek comes to an end. The very next day morning, a short 35 minutes scenic flight takes you to another tremendous and lively town, Pokhara. Our service of 10 days Annapurna round trek ends here.

Annapurna circuit 10 days guided trek will be organized as a group of only a few people departing from Kathmandu. Do remember that, we do have the best deals and offers for an early booking. In case you have any queries, you can feel free to contact us. With Annapurna circuit trekking, you get to explore the assorted ethno-cultures, varied religions, aboriginal people and their ethnic lifestyles, and picturesque villages that lie on the lap of stunning Himalayan ranges.

Best Season for Annapurna Circuit 10 Days Trek

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful treks in Nepal, the 10-day Annapurna circuit trekking lets you go around the Northern sides of the Annapurna massif. The best time for this trek will be spring and autumn. During these seasons some of the best views can be witnessed during the entire trek, and the high mountain pass of Thorang La will be most accessible.

Short Annapurna Circuit in Autumn or Fall

Autumn is probably the best option for the Annapurna circuit short trek, during this season the rainfalls have stopped and winter is around the corner. With warm trekking days and chilly nights, it provides the perfect weather conditions for trekking in Nepal. With a mix of the jungle to rocky trails and a climb up to Thorang La, this incredible 10 days Annapurna Circuit tour package is surely recommended during the autumn season.

10 Days Annapurna hike in the spring season

Although warmer than the autumn season, trekking to Annapurna Circuit during the spring season is absolutely perfect if you are looking for a great trekking experience in Nepal. With more accessible paths and warm trekking days. Trekking to Annapurna Circuit can also be done during other seasons, but we are not so happy to recommend it, as due to unpredictable weather most flights to and from Jomsom airport will be delayed and sometimes even canceled, resulting in a bad experience during your trek in Nepal.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Difficulty Level

The difficulty level for this incredible 10 days Annapurna Circuit Trek is set as moderate. Having good access roads and well-built trails, 10 days Annapurna Circuit trek is not so difficult and can be done by even novice trekkers. With our main concern being elevation it is necessary to take some precautions while ascending higher around the Annapurna Mountains.

10 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Fitness Level

For any type of trek in the Himalayas, a good fitness level is required to fully enjoy the trek and the beauty of the scenery. For 10 days Annapurna Circuit trek fitness level we do advise practicing in higher altitudes including hiking, jogging, or joining a gym, and boosting your stamina pre-departure to be at your best during this incredible trek in Nepal.

High Altitude Sickness during the Trek

Since the trek passes through the highest trekking pass in the world (Thorong La Pass), it is common for every trekker, even our guide, who has done the trek for over 100 times, they feel altitude sickness at some point, no need to worry but we need to be well prepared for the possible experience of high altitude sickness. Generally, drinking 3 to 4 liters of water a day, eating high carbohydrate food, slow walking and taking Demox pills will really help in preventing altitude sickness. And, if any assistance is required our guides will be there to assist you and please follow the guide’s advice. Click this link to learn more about high altitude sickness.

Accommodation on Annapurna Circuit Trek

10 days Annapurna Circuit trek is filled with charming guesthouses known for their warm hospitality and cheaper rates than the Everest region. At Alpine Eco Trek we strongly believe in sustainable tourism and make as much use of local facilities as possible. With guesthouses up to Muktinath, our trekking nights will be spent warm and cozy. Muktinath and Jomsom have hotels available with a bit more comfort and facilities. The guesthouses on the way from Chame to Muktinath have mostly warm water and WIFI access. During the 10 days trek except for Kathmandu and Pokhara, an all-in plan is included. This means that during the trekking part of this package breakfast, lunch and dinner are also included.

Food and Drink on 10 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek

Meals during the trek have a great choice from the lodge’s restaurants, normally we will provide dinner and breakfast on the Guesthouse where we will spend the night and lunch will be provided while walking on the trail from the tea-houses. And the cost of all the food we provided is included in the price of the trek. You can eat as much as you like.

Buying a plastic water bottle is not recommended because plastic is a big problem on trekking routes across the Himalayas, as most of these small alpine villages have no waste disposal system. This is leaving mountainsides filthy with discarded plastic bottles, which is really not how we want to be treating these areas of striking natural beauty.

It is not advisable to drink Tap Water as well but you would really do need to be drinking a lot on the trail as you would be walking long distances at high altitudes.

So that we would like to recommend you get a steel reusable water bottle in Kathmandu or bring it from your home. Along the trail, there are many villages with purified drinking water stations. Here you can refill your bottle and it actually works out much cheaper than buying bottled water. You can also use water purification tablets or buy a steripen. During the evenings, we would often order pots of hot water and drink that, you can also fill up your bottle with any remaining in the pot and it will still be good to drink the next day.

What should you Pack for 10 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek?

The type of equipment required for this trek is not advanced. With standard gear, you can easily complete this amazing trek in Nepal. In early autumn we do recommend bringing some rainproof equipment. Sometimes the rains have not ended yet at the start of autumn and we might need to trek during rainfall. Otherwise some light night gear and a comfortable sleeping bag for the guesthouses. The trek up to Thorang La can be steep for some so we do advise bringing a pair of trekking sticks to make the ascend easier for you. Find a packing list here.

We take great pride in taking care of our guests

Annapurna Circuit Trek (10 days) was the journey of a lifetime for me

Mountains and diverse landscapes are the best part of any trek. As such, the Annapurna Circuit Trek (10 days) was certainly the journey of a lifetime for me. The experience that I had was simply indescribable in words. Right from the get-go, I enjoyed great views of the mountains. As the trek headed further north, Durba my guide, provided detailed information regarding the geography of the region and its amazing biodiversity. The Gangapurna Lake, Thorung La Pass, and the panorama of the Annapurna ranges were few of the spectacular landmarks on the trek. Apart from these, there were many other natural wonders that we witnessed on the trek. So, I would like to offer a personal note of recommendation to all the travelers heading to Nepal to see Ram and his team at Alpine Eco Trek.

Annapurna circuit Thorong La pass Perfect trekking

We have heard news about travelers having a hard time when traveling to Nepal without the right travel operator. So, we did a great deal of research before making the choice to opt for Alpine Eco Trek. We were surprised at the attention provided to minute details of the trip. As the 10 days Annapurna Circuit trek began, the guide and porters from the company offered us expert assistance. As much as they were fluent in the English language, they also had a great sense of humor. We are also thankful for their help when crossing the Thorung La Pass which would have been impossible if not for their competence. We had an amazing trip to Nepal; all thanks to Alpine Eco Trek and their generous staff.
