The Sherpa kingdom of Namche Bazaar is the largest and most prosperous town in the Khumbu region, a historic trading center where grain from the south was exchanged for salt from Tibet. The town is the main hub of the local Sherpa community where they come to buy and sell their goods. It also contains a number of bakeries, internet cafes and even a pub.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet one of our trek leaders, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, join a trip orientation, short briefing about the hike, enjoy an evening meal and overnight at the hotel.

An early morning flight to Lukla, from here we begin our trek to Namche Bazaar, mostly downhill to our first overnight halt at Phakding (2650m). Overnight at Luxury lodge.

Following the Dudh Kosi valley upstream we cross and recross the river to a final steep climb to the Sherpa Sherpa land of Namche Bazaar (3445m). Overnight at Luxury lodge.

This day is an important day for us on this trip since we walk up to Khhumjung where we can visit a monastery. We can also enjoy the splendid views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and so on. Also, we can take an hour's walk up to Syangboche (3800m.) where Everest View Hotel is situated above Namche for outstanding views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru. Overnight at Luxury lodge.

We have a long descent today. The trail is very good although steep in places, so we make a leisurely pace reaching Phakding after approximately 5 hours of walking. Overnight at Luxury lodge.

Our final morning's walk will take around 3 hours as we climb back up to the Lukla ridge. Here we check-in for the return flight to Kathmandu. Arriving in Lukla around mid-day or early afternoon we check into the luxury lodge. The rest of the day is free for relaxing or souvenir buying.

After breakfast, we walk to a small airport in Lukla and fly to Kathmandu enjoying the northern range of the Himalayas. Over night at the hotel.

Breakfast will be provided daily in Kathmandu along with 2 bottles of mineral water and a welcome drink. Meals will be served on a full board basis on trekking days. Three meals a day (Nepali, Tibetan, Continental, and Indian cuisine) will be provided from the lodge's menu. Every day during the trek, dinner, and breakfast are taken to the same lodge where we spend the night. Lunch will be provided on the way to the destination. Farewell dinner with a live culture show will be served during your stay in Kathmandu.

Once you confirm the luxury trip to Namche, we require a photocopy of your passport and a 20% down payment of the total price for advance booking of Lukla flights, hotel/lodge reservations and permit processing.

The luxury hike to Namche Bazar is suitable for any walker who is looking for some little adventure and a mountain trek with spectacular views of the Everest ranges. It is not necessary that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. However, daily jogging, running and cycling are helpful exercises to complete this journey with success and happiness and you need to be in the good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours daily.

This hike is good for all seasons so any month from January to December is the best time to do this trek. However, February, March, April, May and September, October, November and December are much better months for trekking in the Everest region.

The luxury hike to Namche Bazaar is an exciting and thrilling trip. We trek up to 3445m walking through villages, rivers and green hills, so you need to have the right equipment with you. Luxury hike to Namche Bazaar

Fly into Lukla, trek from here through the Sherpa villages into the Phakding village then up to Namche Bazaar. Trek back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. With overnight stays in Phakding, Namche and Lukla. This was a fantastic trip for us, we enjoyed every day. The lodges in this trek are surprisingly comfortable and luxury. The food was great all the time. We loved breathtaking mountain views. We highly recommend this trip to everyone.
