8 Days Langtang Valley Trek
- Customize My Trip
Langtang Valley Hiking Trip
8 days Langtang valley trek is a comfortable trek for those who wish to enjoy the panorama view of white snowcapped mountains within a short time, this trekking region is closer to Kathmandu than other regions. The very famous and popular Langtang valley is aptly called the valley of glaciers here mountains rise, soaring toward the sky. The valley offers pine forests, swift mountain streams, rugged rock, and snow-capped peaks.
The landscape of grassy downs and meadows with an abundance of flowers and wild animals is sure to leave you speechless. In the upper part of the valley, there are snow ridges spanning gushing torrents, high passes enveloped in the mist tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants. Once you enter the Langtang valley you are surrounded by brightly painted fluttering prayer flags.
Just after the monsoon season, Langtang becomes easy and comfortable to access, a trek that provides picturesque views of the towering peak Langtang Lirung (7,246m). This peak dominates the upper valley skyline and straddles the Tibetan border.
In the spring it becomes the ideal location to spot rare birds and flowers. According to a legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley, hence the name -Lang (Tibetan name for YAK), Tang (colloquially known as Dhang means to follow). There are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions throughout 8 days Langtang valley trek, you should allow some extra days for exploration of the extensive glacier system.

Useful Information
Langtang valley trek is one of the best and popular treks in the Langtang Region. Nepal serves three most popular trekking destinations such as Everest region, Annapurna region and Langtang region and the Langtang Region is the third most popular trekking destination in Nepal. Langtang valley trek starts in Syabru Bensi (about 125 km north from Kathmandu, drive by a private jeep or local bus) and hike up the Langtang valley beneath stunning mountains that form the border with Tibet. Reach Kyanjin Gompa (3,830 m), where you can decide to continue further, climb the peaks just above the village, or descend back to Langtang valley and then to Syabru Bensi.
Langtang Valley was badly affected by the 2015 massive earthquake. The village of Langtang was completely destroyed by an avalanche in which several hundred residents and foreigners perished. Now, the good news is most of the trails have been repaired and the beautiful lodges have been built in the Langtang Valley. The valley is ready to welcome its great trekkers.

The best company in Kathmandu
We want to thank Alpine Eco Trek for the most wonderful trek that we had this month in Nepal. From the first letter that Ram Kumar sent me in answer to my request for a trial in Nepal, I realized that I was immediately understood and his answers were always to the point and understanding. Ram complied with a very good trail for us.We were promised and supplied with an excellent guide and wonderful porter. Both guys were sweet, sensitive, caring, interesting and entertaining. They took care of our every need in the most gentle way, treating us with the utmost respect and care to make sure that we enjoyed our trek. We walked very slowly, enjoying every inch of the way, every monkey and bird and the guys always made us feel that whatever we did was fine. We made some small changes to the program to suit our walking and that too was fine with the guys.Their English was good and their willingness to tell us about their upbringing and their lives they lead gave us a good insight into Nepal culture.Having met many porters and guides of other trekkers on the way, we came to see and understand that we were given the best guide and porter and, thanks to them, we had the most amazing trek of the Heritage Langtang trail. When we got back to Katmandu and we went to the office of Alpine Eco Trek for advice, all the team helped and assisted us in every possible way.Alpine Eco Trek is an excellent company and we certainly recommend trekking with the help of this company.

8 days langtang valley trek
We had a really great time on our 8 days Langtang trip and thought that our guide Ramesh was very responsible, organized and took great care to keep us in good health. He made sure that we paced ourselves well and took us to places that served good food, and clean accommodation. I would definitely recommend him and Alpine Eco Trek to anyone that was thinking of doing a trek in Langtang.
