Gokarna Forest Resort in Nepal
Tucked away in the serene Gokarna forest, a protected sanctuary that was once a private hunting ground for the former royals of Nepal, the Gokarna Forest Resort offers an immersive retreat into nature a mere 10 kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. An oasis of peace and tranquillity, steeped in rich historical and cultural significance, the main resort complex derives its influence from an architectural blend of Malla and Rana royal palaces. The temperate forest of medieval Kathmandu Valley has been protected for over 500 years – nourishing and providing shelter to a wide variety of birds and animals including spotted deer and monkeys, all of which are easily spotted throughout the resort grounds.
